Well, that is a valid argument, of course.
However, having to look at the issue from all the angles, I had to necessarily mention Pep’s UAE snub because it added to the story. Moreover, since Pep was reluctant to be drawn with the UAE question before journalists who confronted him with that particular query, the thing was public and puzzled his admirers. He didn’t clarify his stand with the argument that you have put up, and without it one can’t simply ignore the allegations laid down by Amnesty international on the UAE ruling party and also the political reputation that Sheikh Mansour holds with him.

He is a Catalan, that is where his heart lies and why he stands up for the rights of those imprisoned without trial, by the Spanish authorities, for their democratic actions as elected leaders of Catalonia.without trial in Spain for.

Pep Guardiola is employed by a buisness entity (ADUG) the major shareholderof which is a member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi, not the UAE. So why castigate him for not taking up human rights issues in a political entity (UAE) that is not his homeland nor his employer?

Anyway – why let a few key facts spoil a good story?
